Prop Trading · Czechia · 2026

Prop firms without chaos: rules, Czech setup, payouts and strategy.

A practical framework for passing evaluations without treating the firm's hard loss limit as your working risk budget. Compare programs, understand KYC and Czech documentation, then choose a strategy compatible with the account rules.

Which prop firms to use

FTMO · CZECH REPUBLIC

FTMO — the natural first benchmark in Czechia

Strong documentation, Czech presence and clear evaluation rules make FTMO a useful baseline for comparing other firms.

1-Step

  • Profit target: 10%
  • Max Daily Loss: 3%
  • Max Loss: 10%
  • No fixed trading-time limit
  • Best Day Rule applies to the 1-Step structure.

When Swing matters

If you hold positions for days or across high-impact events, FTMO Swing can be more compatible because it removes the Standard funded-account news/weekend holding restrictions; Swing is tied to the 2-Step route.

THE5ERS

The5ers — disciplined Forex / indices route

Useful for traders who prefer a slower, rule-driven approach.

  • 2-Step New: 10% → 5%
  • 2-Step Classic: 8% → 5%
  • Maximum Loss: 10%
  • Daily Loss Limit: 3%
  • Funded stages may include consistency requirements.

High Stakes has restrictions around high-impact news execution, so news windows must be checked before trading.

ITRADE

iTrade — 1-Step and 2-Step have materially different limits

  • 1-Step: 10% target, 3% Daily Loss, 5% Max Loss, minimum 4 trading days, 30-day period.
  • 2-Step: 10% → 5% targets, 5% Daily Loss, 7% Max Loss, minimum 4 trading days per stage, 30 days per stage.
  • Funded: no profit target, 5% Daily Loss, 7% Overall Loss, minimum weekly activity.

For the 1-Step route the small 5% overall loss makes conservative sizing especially important.

FUNDEDNEXT

FundedNext — verify the exact current program before purchase

Programs and rules change. Never buy a challenge based only on an old video review. Confirm the current target, drawdown type, consistency rule, news rules and payout conditions on the exact program page.

Core prop rule: the firm's rulebook overrides your trade signal. A profitable trade can still fail the account if it violates loss, news, holding or prohibited-strategy rules.

Czechia: payouts, OSVČ and records

LEGAL / TAX

Understand what the prop firm is paying you for

Many modern prop models use simulated evaluation accounts and pay a contractual reward after successful performance. Regular independent income from such activity can fall under Czech self-employment income depending on the actual contract and facts.

Do not register as a crypto-asset service provider merely because you trade crypto/CFDs. Providing regulated crypto or investment services to clients is a different activity. For a material payout, confirm the exact Czech tax classification of your contract with Finanční správa or a Czech tax adviser.
OSVČ

Main vs secondary self-employment

Vedlejší OSVČ is not simply a cheaper option you choose. It requires a legal basis such as qualifying employment, studies, pension or another statutory reason. If prop payouts become regular business income, keep the activity, insurance and tax records consistent with your real status.

DOCUMENTS

Keep these records

  • Prop Firm / Trader Agreement
  • Challenge completion proof
  • KYC documents
  • Payout statements / reward confirmations
  • Invoices if required by the firm
  • Bank/Rise/Skrill/crypto payout record
  • Challenge fees and supported expenses
  • Foreign-currency conversion records
  • Dispute correspondence
  • Annual income/expense records
WORKFLOW

Practical Czech workflow

  1. Read the exact prop contract.
  2. Classify the income correctly.
  3. If it is regular self-employment, maintain the appropriate OSVČ setup.
  4. Keep income and expense evidence.
  5. Keep every payout confirmation.
  6. Check health-insurance and ČSSZ obligations.
  7. Use the required electronic filing route when applicable.
Operationally useful: a separate bank account for prop payouts is not always legally mandatory, but it makes evidence and bookkeeping much cleaner.
04

KYC & payout hygiene

Identity consistency

  • Name in KYC = payout-account name.
  • Use your own payment method.
  • Do not create multiple identities.
  • Keep proof of address current.
  • Save every payout receipt immediately.

Before the first payout

  • Signed contract saved
  • KYC complete
  • Tax residence correct
  • Prop-payout folder created
  • Czech bookkeeping treatment understood

Prop-friendly strategies

A · STRUCTURE PULLBACK

Trend + Pullback + Confirmation

  1. H4/H1 direction.
  2. Mark H1/M15 support-demand or resistance-supply.
  3. Wait for price to return.
  4. M15/M5 confirmation: rejection / CHOCH / BOS.
  5. Stop beyond structural invalidation.
  6. Target the next liquidity/level.

Typical study range: R:R roughly 1:1.5–1:3 when structure supports it.

B · BREAKOUT RETEST

Session Breakout + Retest

  1. Define pre-session range.
  2. Wait for displacement through the boundary.
  3. Do not chase the first impulse candle.
  4. Wait for retest.
  5. Use M5/M15 confirmation.
C · LIQUIDITY

Liquidity Sweep + Structure Shift

  1. Find obvious equal highs/lows.
  2. Wait for a sweep.
  3. Wait for return into range.
  4. Look for M5/M15 CHOCH/BOS.
  5. Use a retest/FVG/order-block entry only if your tested plan defines it.
D · SWING

H4/H1 Swing

Use only on account types that permit your holding/news behavior. The benefit is less overtrading; the cost is wider stops and event/gap risk.

Poor challenge habits: martingale, uncontrolled averaging down, grids without hard invalidation, all-in sizing, revenge trading, exploit-style latency/HFT tactics or anything forbidden by the firm's terms.
06

Timeframes, sessions and challenge risk

Timeframe model

  • H4: regime and major levels
  • H1: working structure
  • M15: setup and confirmation
  • M5: execution
  • M1: only after testing; it often increases noise and overtrading

Typical Czech-time windows

  • London: roughly 09:00–12:00 Prague time
  • New York open: roughly 15:30–18:00 most of the year
  • London/NY overlap: often the most liquid window

US/EU daylight-saving transitions can temporarily shift the relationship.

Conservative challenge baseline

  • 0.25–0.50% risk per trade
  • personal daily stop around 0.75–1.0%
  • 2–3 trades maximum
  • stop after two consecutive losses
  • never increase size to recover a loss

Do not use the full firm limit

A 3% Daily Loss limit is the firm's emergency boundary, not your recommended working risk budget. Your own daily stop should be materially smaller.

07

Challenge process

1 · TRIALUse a free trial/demo first.
2 · RULE SHEETWrite down daily loss, max loss, reset time, news, holding and consistency.
3 · ONE SETUPTrade one tested setup, not five systems.
4 · LOW RISKStay well below firm limits.
5 · JOURNALLog every trade, screenshot and reason.
The goal is not to reach 10% as fast as possible. The goal is to show repeatable execution without living near the drawdown limit.
